GREENinc is turning 25
Next month is going to be a special month for us. Lockdown regulations will be eased a bit more here in South Africa – we are going into level 1. I’ll have to do some research to find out what the implications are of that, but I think we’re still going to have to wear our face masks. The big news, though, is that GREENinc will be 25 years old. The practice was started in October 1995. That was a year after South Africa’s democracy was formed in 1994. We still tend to think of ours as a young democracy and I still think of GREENinc as a young practice. It’s all about your attitude, right? A quarter of a century is just a number! Lockdown regulations are not going to allow us to throw a party to do this milestone justice. I hope we’ll be able to have a catch-up party when we’ve beaten the pandemic. For now, we are going to celebrate by looking back on some of the varied projects we’ve had the privilege to work on. Look out for features on selected projects on social media over the coming weeks. I hope you enjoy the retrospective. In the meantime, check out this building which forms a kaleidoscopic canvas for its surrounding landscape.
‘til next time.
